Benjamin Peters

Ben was born and raised in the Bay Area. When he isn’t working on some sort of building project, he spends his time hiking, skiing, or relaxing at the beach with his wife and two sons.

Ben earned his Bachelor’s degree from UCLA in mechanical engineering and spent his early professional years working on commercial steel projects and large-scale art installations. After deciding cubicle life wasn’t for him, Ben made a career change into construction. He honed his craft with several Bay Area builders working on ultra high-end homes. In 2001, Ben became a licensed general contractor and started his own company. He has been building fine homes ever since. Ben now spends most of his time on Peters Design-Build’s construction administration.

Ben’s aptitude for mechanical engineering, his lifelong appreciation of fine art, and his hands-on ethos, have found a perfect marriage in his work at Peters Design Build. He is a perfectionist, who takes pride in delivering an exquisite level of craftsmanship on every job.

Andrew Peters

Andrew is a Bay Area native, world traveler, and Marine Corps veteran with a passion for clean, beautiful spaces. When Andrew is not on an adventure with his three sons, he loves to spend his free time mountain biking or in the ocean surfing and diving.

Andrew first started working in the construction industry over twenty years ago. He spent the last 10 years managing commercial and residential design and construction projects ranging from small residential remodels to commercial projects over $100 million in value.

He also has extensive experience managing large scale commissioned public art projects. Andrew served as Project Manager for the international-award-winning “Refract House,” Team California’s entry in the 2009 U.S. Department of Energy Solar Decathlon (a project featured in over 600 online and print articles). Andrew holds a Bachelor of Architecture, is a LEED-Accredited Professional, and has achieved a PMP certification.

Andrew loves working with his hands, whether building custom furniture or woodworking. He brings this tactile approach to his work, and stays intimately involved with all phases of the design and construction process.

Andrew’s driving purpose is to design and construct spaces that give their occupants a tangible sense of well-being.
